To guide us towards fulfilling our mission, the Chapter has adopted a Strategic Plan to chart the course to lead the green building movement in Northern California. We aspire to “change the conversation”, to demonstrate thought leadership, and to build a movement and community that pushes the boundaries of the meaning of green. Our 5 key goals for the next several years are:

• Educate & Empower Influencers, Decision-Makers, and Practitioners
  Implement a synergistic educational strategy to provide innovative education programs that serve member needs, motivate and educate practitioners and decision makers, and address the needs of emerging sectors within the building industry.
• Advocate for Green Building Public Policies
  Extend and re-frame the public policy conversation beyond incentives, legislation & regulations to Sustainability Leadership.
• Build a Vibrant Green Building Community in Northern California
  Be the focal point for the convergence, networking, and engagement of the green building industry throughout the Northern California region.
• Enhance Organizational Excellence
  Build an innovative, high-performance, leadership organization that serves as a model for USGBC chapters nation-wide.
