|
The nine-member Northern California Chapter Board of Directors has five open positions starting in January 2010. Each position is a two-year term that ends December 2011.The four standing Directors will serve through their second year.
USGBC-NCC has become a significant entity in the green building
industry at local, state and national levels. As the needs of the Chapter have grown, so have the responsibilities of the Chapter Board Members. These responsibilities
include:
- Oversight of a growing budget and staff.
- Developing strategic plans and alliances.
- Developing relationships for sponsorships and alliances.
- Involvement in Committee work and Branch relations, and much more.
The right to vote in USGBC-NCC elections is an individual rather than corporate right. Each current member (as of 10/31/09) will have the opportunity to cast her/his own vote.
In accordance with Chapter bylaws, no more than three Board members may share the same Chapter Membership Industry Sector Category; e.g., because one architect continues to serve on the Board, no more than two additional architects may be elected this year.
Voting will be conducted electronically and anonymously. Should you have problems casting your vote, contact Paul Buckman.
