USGBC-NCC Monterey Bay Branch |
Welcome to the USGBC-NCC Monterey Bay Branch!
On the first Wednesday of each month, we offer programs for professional development, networking and community education in sustainability practices. This year we are excited to announce membership sponsorships for students who are active in branch activities. Our meetings will continue to be near zero-waste events, and stay tuned for a post of the monthly environmental footprint.
Branch Coverage:
A regional branch, the USGBC-NCC Monterey Bay Branch serves the counties of Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito.
- Max Perelman and Elizabeth Cordero, Monterey Bay Branch Co-Chairs

The 2011 USGBC Monterey Bay Branch Holiday Gala was held in the beautiful Museum of Art and History at the McPherson center in downtown Santa Cruz. The best of Monterey Bay's green building community enjoyed festive music, delicious foods, and locally grown wine while they socialized, networked, and reunited with friends and acquaintances. The evening consisted of a brief presentation by Co-chairs expounding upon the Branch's accomplishments of the past year and also the great things to expect from the Branch in the next year, including the 2012x2012 campaign and Greenbuild 2012. After that, the crowd enjoyed an exciting exhibition of the Argentine Tango while further rejoicing with champagne and friends. The night's success was one to be remembered throughout the years and many thanks are given to Branch members and the support of the local green building community for their hard work and dedication to the USGBC vision.
