After taking a LEED Green Associate Workshop, take an advanced course and prepare for a LEED AP Specialty Exam. These workshops are designed to prepare you to pass the LEED AP Specialty exams with confidence the first time. Workshops will focus on the key information necessary to pass the exam, including but not limited to: every LEED prerequisite and credit, the mechanics of LEED (registration, certification, credit interpretations), basic green building methods and systems likely to appear on the exam, public outreach, and test taking strategies. 

The LEED AP Specialty credential signifies an advanced depth of knowledge in green building practices and reflects the ability to specialize in a particular LEED Rating System. The LEED AP exam is divided into two parts. The first part is the LEED Green Associate exam, which demonstrates general knowledge of green building practices. The second part is a specialty exam based on one of the LEED Rating Systems.

Prepare for a LEED AP Specialty Exam

• Take the LEED Green Associate Exam Prep Workshop to prepare for the first part of the exam
  
• Choose your area of specialization
• Download and review the appropriate LEED AP Specialty Candidate Handbook
  
• Register at GBCI.org to generate your Eligibility ID
• Purchase the LEED Reference Guide for your chosen specialty
• Take a LEED AP Specialty Exam Prep Workshop
