Join Emerging Green Builders* of San Francisco for a lunchtime green building tour & presentation at Teknion's LEED CI Gold office and showroom. . The tour will include lunch and a presentation.
*Emerging Green Builders (EGB) is a committee of the USGBC for young green building professionals.
Tony Smith, LEED AP, IIDA, Architecture and Design Market manager for Teknion will spend an hour with you talking about what is next for Teknion and their approach to DfE (Design for the Environment) as it relates to product introductions in the furniture market. Teknion is a leader among the commercial office furniture manufactures and will highlight some of the products and processes that they are using moving forward. The hour will also include a tour of their LEED Gold showroom. Lunch, drinks, and cookies will be provided.
You must purchase your ticket by April 20th at noon to attend this event.
Tony Smith
Understanding design, Tony graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Design, Housing, Merchandising and a minor in Business Administration. Tony is able to combine his passion for design with architects and designers but understands the business behind promoting one of the largest commercial office furniture manufacturers.
Joining Teknion as an intern in the summer of 2002, Tony has been an integral part of the San Francisco team ever since. In 2005 Tony assumed the responsibilities A&D Market Manager for Northern California. Most recently Tony was a key member of the project team for the Teknion LEED Gold San Francisco Showroom that opened in 2007. His commitment to Teknion and the sustainable practices they implement is apparent and inspiring. He is on the steering committee for a major IIDA event, a member of the USGBC, and a LEED accredited professional.
The Teknion Showroom is located at 88 Kearny St. (corner of Kearny and Post) in San Francisco and is easily accessible from the Montgomery St. BART station.
