Speakers:
Paul Wanzer, AIA, LEED AP®, IIDA / Principal Paul Wanzer is a Principal and shareholder at Mithun. He is a member of the Board of Directors as well as the Director of Integrated Design for the firm. Paul is currently overseeing the launch of the newly established San Francisco office. His project work is primarily for private clients in the hospitality and commercial sectors. Paul is a graduate of Washington State University and has been with Mithun for 19 years. Previously, Paul spent 7 years leading the boutique architecture and interior design firm Wanzer/ Munizza Architects in Seattle.
Sandy Mendler, AIA LEED AP® / Principal Sandy, a nationally recognized design leader and advocate of sustainable design, recently joined Mithun to help establish the new San Francisco office. For over 20 years, her focus has included both research and practice with many high profile projects including office buildings, research laboratories, and higher education buildings. Sandy’s strength as a designer stems from her ability to organize and lead teams that integrate complex technical requirements into elegant design solutions. She has served on the national board of directors of the USGBC and as chair of the national AIA COTE. Co-author of two books and numerous articles, she has taught, lectured and served on peer review and expert panels, and is frequently invited to speak at conferences and industry events.
Roger Gula, AIA LEED AP® / Associate Principal
Roger has over 12 years experience with Mithun and recently relocated to San Francisco from Mithun’s Seattle office. He has a broad base of architectural experience encompassing both planning and architecture for commercial, institutional and residential projects. His combination of technical knowledge and design talent enables him to be active in all phases of a project. His innovative design solutions result from his ability to bring analysis, creativity, and strong problem solving together. Roger is an active member of SPUR and is a mentor for ACE, providing education outreach to bay area teens interested in Architecture, Construction and Engineering.
