Building healthcare facilities in California presents unique opportunities and significant challenges. The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) is the force behind equitable healthcare accessibility for California. As a regulating authority, it makes innovation within the industry difficult. LEED and California’s push for sustainable development provides interesting challenges and discussions in which the Bay Area LEED Users Group will explore.
Please join representatives from Anshen & Allen, Charles M. Salter and Associates, and DPR Construction in bringing together a panel discussion of the differences in the rating systems and the difficulties with fitting LEED into the healthcare building type. Also we will look at the acoustical challenges and prescriptive requirements associated with new versions of LEED BD&C as well as LEED for Healthcare.
Tickets for members are by donation, non-member tickets are $10. Registration available at the door.
Please contact Matt Macko or Ryan Potvin with any questions.
