All LEED AP Specialty
credential exams are comprised of two part testing: Green
Associate & the specialty. If you are interested in obtaining a
LEED credential, we highly encourage you to first enroll in one of our Green Associate Exam Preparation Workshops, which will
greatly increase your ability to pass the first part of the exam, and
then take this course for the LEED AP O&M credential or take one of our LEED AP Specialty Exam Prep Workshops.
Workshop Description
Walk through the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (LEED EBOM) system, assessment process and the business case for pursuing certification with green building experts in the field. Learn about implementation and documentation processes and the roles and responsibilities of team members working within a typical project time line. This workshop is geared towards helping building owners, operators and facility managers improve the energy efficiency, occupant health and environmental impact of their building operations.

About our Instructors:
Eric Baxter is a LEED Accredited Professional, has a B.A. in Urban Studies and technical A.A.S in commercial building Energy Management and has over 13 years experience in the energy efficiency and green building sector. His work in the private sector has included analyzing existing buildings for energy efficiency opportunities, developing and implementing energy efficiency projects, managing retrocommissioning teams and providing post implementation measurement and verification evaluations. He has also worked for in the government and non-profit sectors developing and managing energy efficiency programs and educational outreach efforts targeted to the new construction and existing building sectors. This experience has transferred well during the past 5 years consulting to and facilitating project teams seeking LEED for New Construction and Existing Building certification. In his free time he has served as an active member of the Cascadia Green Building Council and Oregon Association of Professional Energy Managers, is restoring his 1920's era home, and enjoys the great outdoor activities in the Pacific Northwest.
Jessica Black Kennedy is the director of the Brightworks San Francisco office, which manages over 30 LEED projects in the bay area including projects for Cisco, Yahoo!, Facebook, BAE Systems, Hewlett Packard, CSU San Jose State and Chico Universities, Chevron, and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She has taught over 30 LEED training and sustainability-based workshops to audiences in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. Jessica has been invited to conduct several presentations including a Sustainability Visioning Workshop for the City of Seattle’s Department of Planning and Development, “Value Proposition of Green Buildings” to Essex Property Trust, “LEED Project Management Process” to Cisco Systems and has been on panels for The Clean Tech Institute in San Jose, the Structural Engineering Association of Northern California (SEAONC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and others. Jessica continues to study classical piano with her professor from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in her spare time.
